What is a virtual wardrobe?

A virtual wardrobe, or digital closet, is the digital version of your closet: each piece of clothing has its photo and description, available from your phone. In Vetiscann, it’s filled from photos of your own clothes, and it has one clear purpose: putting together outfits from what you already have.

How do you build a digital wardrobe with AI?

You photograph your clothes and the AI does the rest: it detects each item, cuts it out, removes the background and saves it to your wardrobe.

1. Create your account with your Google account: it’s free, no credit card needed.
2. Lay out a few clothes on your bed and take a photo, up to 12 items per photo.
3. Let the AI add them: each item lands in your wardrobe with its cut-out photo and description.
4. Add more over time: two items are enough for a first week of outfits, and you can add the other season’s clothes when the weather changes.

How does Vetiscann organize your clothes?

Vetiscann automatically files each item by type and gives it a season, so your wardrobe organizes itself without any sorting on your part.

• By type: T-shirts, pants, jackets and cardigans, coats, shoes, accessories, plus an “Other” row for everything else.
• By season: each item is tagged warm, mid-season, cold, rain or all seasons. That’s what stops a winter sweater and linen pants from ending up in the same outfit.
• By sorting: within each row, sort your items by style, by weather (warm to cold, or the other way) or by date added.
• Consistent photos: each item is cut out from its background, which makes your wardrobe easy to scan at a glance. A bad picture can be fixed with AI retouch, included in the subscription.

Rows and descriptions are set by the AI: there are no custom folders, and an item’s details can’t be edited by hand. Item names are currently generated in French. To fix a misread item, delete it and photograph it again on its own.

Digitizing your wardrobe lets you see everything you own in one place, so you actually use it. An item at the back of a shelf, or in a box of off-season clothes, tends to get forgotten.

What can you do once your wardrobe is ready?

Once your wardrobe is set up, Vetiscann uses it to build your outfits. The AI outfit generator puts together one outfit for each of the next 7 days, from your items and your city’s forecast.

Every morning, your outfit of the day shows up as soon as you open the app. With the Plus plan, you can also have the outfit you’re wearing analyzed: a score out of 10, and items from your wardrobe to do better. That’s Vetiscann’s AI stylist.
