How can AI help you choose an outfit?

An AI stylist combines what it knows about your clothes with styling rules and the day’s context, to suggest an outfit or judge the one you’re wearing. In Vetiscann, it relies on:

• your clothes: the name, color, fabric and season of every item in your wardrobe;
• the weather: your city’s forecast for each day;
• styling rules: color harmony, compatible seasons, consistent styles (sporty, casual, dressy).

It doesn’t take your taste, your body type or the occasion into account: Vetiscann asks no questions about your style. And when it judges an outfit, it judges the clothes and how they’re worn, never your body.

Choosing an outfit from your own clothes, every morning

Your outfit of the day shows up as soon as you open Vetiscann, with your city’s weather: all that’s left is to get dressed.

It comes from your week of outfits, built by the AI outfit generator from the items in your wardrobe. The items are laid out like a silhouette: top above bottom, shoes below, accessories to the side. A title, a mood and a styling tip come with it.

Rather not open the app? Turn on reminders: your outfit of the day arrives by email at the time you choose, 7 a.m. by default.

Outfit analysis: an honest opinion on what you’re wearing

With the Plus plan, Vetiscann analyzes the outfit you’re wearing from a full-length photo of you: four scores out of 10, a verdict, the stylist’s tip and the items to change.

1. Set your phone down at waist height and step back about two meters: the photo takes itself as soon as your outfit is visible from head to toe.
2. See your scores: colors, style, fit and suitability for the weather, then an overall score.
3. Read the stylist’s tip: first the quick fix to make right away (close a jacket, tuck in a top), then, if needed, the item to change.
4. Tap “Improve my outfit”: the items dragging your score down flash, and for each one, Vetiscann suggests the best replacement from your wardrobe.

The scoring is deliberately demanding: most everyday outfits land between 4 and 7. Your photo isn’t kept, only the result of the analysis. The Plus plan includes up to 30 analyses a month, and 3 a day.

AI stylist and weather

Weather comes in twice: in the outfits Vetiscann suggests, and in the score of the outfit you’re wearing. The outfits in your week are built from your city’s forecast for each day. Outfit analysis, for its part, scores how well your outfit suits the weather at the time of the photo: thickness, layers, rain or heat.

Who is an AI stylist for?

An AI stylist is for anyone who hesitates in front of their closet, or feels they always wear the same clothes even though their closet is full. It’s especially useful if:

• you want an outfit ready in the morning, without thinking about it;
• you want to rediscover the items you never wear, rather than buy more;
• the weather keeps catching you out: a coat too many in the afternoon, a forgotten jacket in the evening;
• you’re unsure about your color combinations and want an honest opinion before heading out.

Vetiscann doesn’t depend on any style or gender: the AI works with the clothes you show it, whether classic, sportswear, casual or dressy. The service is open from age 15.

What an AI stylist doesn’t replace

An AI stylist doesn’t replace a human stylist: it helps you decide faster with what you have, without knowing your life, your taste or your plans. A stylist can go shopping with you, build your style over time or prepare an outfit for an event. Vetiscann is there every morning, with your wardrobe and the day’s weather.
